New complaint of abuse against the former secretary priest of Marcial Maciel

The regnum Christi has made public a possible new case of abuse in a school in Madrid by the chaplain and former secretary of Marcial Maciel, P. Marcelino de Andrés, on whom five other accusations of abuse of minors already fall.

The director of the Highlands Center El Encinar de Madrid (Spain), Marilú Álvarez, shared Through a statement of May 28 that a primary student has reported in recent days “who suffered sexual assault by the excala name of the school.”

The director notified these facts to the police authorities, who already investigate the case, after previously informing the students of the student.

This possible new case arose within the framework of the program Dignity shieldan early prevention and detection initiative of child abuse that began to be implemented on May 21 in the center. The program is part of the commitments assumed by the school after knowing, last March, the first five complaints against the religious.

In the program, “students from 2nd to 4th grade whose parents voluntarily have granted their informed consent after participating in explanatory sessions on the contents, objectives and language of the program”, as detailed by the College.

Resignation from another director of a center of the regnum Christi

This news adds to the relay of the director of another of the seven centers dependent on the regnum Christi in Spain located in Madrid (3), Barcelona (2), Valencia and Seville.

This is Araceli Delgado, consecrated from the regnum Christi, who directed Everest School Monteclaro for almost 11 years. She is the sister of Fr. Jesús María Delgado, LC, who resigned as director of Highlands the oak after complaints against the chaplain.

The case was studied by the Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith and by the Consegrated Section of the Regnum Christi, leaving “filed in both processes in 2021 as it had not found elements to give credibility to the complaint”.
