the movie Triumph over evil: Battle of the exorcists (Triumph Over Evil: Battle of the Exorcists) arrives in the United States on Thursday, October 30. The film, approved by an important institution of the Catholic Church, can be seen in 700 movie theaters that day alone.
“Who is the devil and how does he act? What are his weapons? How to protect oneself and one’s loved ones from demonic attacks? What is an exorcism?” are just some of the questions answered by this docudrama, which has the approval of the International Association of Exorcists (IAE), founded in 1990 by the famous exorcist of Rome, Fr. Gabriele Amorth, whose testimony also appears on the tape.

“The filmmakers urge the American public to see this film and watch it together, emphasizing that the film is not intended to cause fear or horror, but rather to inform and arm against the evil that persistently seeks to destroy the children of God and wreak havoc on the world,” says a note from Goya Producciones sent to ACI Prensa.
Triumph over evil: Battle of the exorcistsdistributed by Fathom Entertainment and Goya Producciones, is the “first authorized documentary that delves into the various aspects of demonic possession and exorcism, while showing the escalation and importance, as well as the role of Catholic priests and Mary, the Mother of God, in the battle against evil,” the note states.
The original film in Italian, which has already been seen in Italy and Latin America, with the title Free Us: The fight of the exorcistscan be seen in 79 theaters in Spanish, mainly in California, Texas and Florida; although if Spanish-speaking groups request it, other movie theaters can offer it in Spanish as well.
The film is the brainchild of Italian film director Giovanni Ziberna and his wife Valeria Baldan, directors and founders of Sine Sole Cinema, who converted to the Catholic faith after years of atheism.
Ziberna thought of this film after being invited to collaborate in the ministry of exorcism, witnessing it firsthand.
The docudrama includes additional content in which several exorcists offer various resources so that the faithful learn to protect themselves from the devil’s schemes. One of them is Father Robert-Joel Cruz, member of the IEA and priest of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux (United States), who remembers that “the devil is real. Possession is real. But so is the power of Christ, the power of the Church and the power of the sacraments. This film is not only informative, but also liberating.”
Other priests who appear in the film are Father Chris Alar, MIC, provincial superior of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception in the United States and Argentina; Bishop Stephen Rossetti, author of Diary of an American Exorcist (Diary of an American Exorcist); Kathleen Beckman, co-founder of the Prayer for Priests Foundation and author of A Family Guide to Spiritual Warfare (Family guide to spiritual warfare).
