Many countries around the world celebrate Mother’s Day on the second Sunday in May; However, there are many who no longer have her by their side, since they have already left for the Father’s House. For them, the mothers who are in heaven enjoying the Glory of God, we share the following prayer:
We continually pray to you, Lord, for our mother.
We remember her with peace and love before You,
sure that she lives,
how we are sure that you live
and that your love lasts forever.
We remember her when she was among us…
Sometimes we seem to feel the warmth and calm
of his protective presence
like when I lived here,
much more for us than for herself.
Give him, Lord, your love, give him your life. Give him your peace.
Keep it very close to you.
Be happy and pray before You for us.
Help us live what she taught us,
more with love than with words.
To pray to you like her, to love you like her,
to make you and others, just like her,
the meaning of our life.
And if through carelessness or weakness you lacked something,
Forgive her, You who know what it is to be Father and Mother
and you know love and forgiveness like no one else
without measure or limits…
Forgive him his faults for how much he loved everyone.
Thank you, Lord, for this prayer that fills us with peace
in the memory of our mother.
