More than 800 members of the Vaqueros Unidos Club made a pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Des Plaines, in the Archdiocese of Chicago (United States), paid tribute to Saint Mary and gave her hundreds of roses.
According to explains the sanctuary on its Facebook pageit is the annual pilgrimage of the group of horsemen, who with the roses express their “devotion and respect” to the Virgin.
The pilgrimage is part of the celebrations prior to the celebration of the Feast of the Virgin of Guadalupe, on December 12, the day on which, in 1531, Santa María appeared to the Indian San Juan Diego at the foot of the Tepeyac hill, north of present-day Mexico City.
