More than 3,000 representatives of dioceses, religious institutes and laity movements participate this weekend in the vocational congress “Who am I? Assembly of calls for mission ”, promoted by the vocational pastoral service of the Spanish Episcopal Conference (CEE).
With this congress, which can be followed through its website and the channel of CEE YouTubeIt is conceived within the Quinquenal Pastoral Plan 2021-2025 and constitutes its closure as it was for the previous plan the Lay Congress held in 2020.

Participants come from the 70 Spanish dioceses, of which 65 bishops will be present. In addition, 54 secular movements and associations, 120 congregations and 250 Catholic realities in the country are represented.
As details the EEC, almost a third of those who will congregate over three days are under 35 years.
The president of the EEC, Mons. Luis Argüello will be present at the opening session; the archbishop of Madrid, Cardinal José Cobo; The Archbishop of Braga, Mons. José Manuel García Cordeiro, as responsible for vocations and young people in the Episcopal Conference Council of Europe (CCEE); and the Apostolic Nuncio in Spain, Mons. Bernardito Auza, which will read the message that Pope Francis has sent to Congress.
The inaugural presentation will be carried out by Mons. Carlos Escribano, Archbishop of Zaragoza and president of the Episcopal Commission for the laity, family and life.
On Saturday he will begin with the celebration of the Eucharist presided by Mons. Jesús Pulido, Bishop of Coria-Cáceres and President of the Episcopal Commission for the clergy and seminars and throughout the day the four itineraries planned will be worked (word, community, subject and mission) to which correspond a wide range of 64 workshops.
Each participant has chosen two itineraries, one for the morning and one for the afternoon and two workshops of each. At the end, the celebration of a Catholic music concert is planned.
The final presentation is planned on Sunday, the result of the work done throughout the wise day. At noon, Mons. Argüello will preside over the shipping mass. With the shipping Eucharist, at 12.00, chaired by Mons. Luis Argüello, president of the EEC, this vocational congress will conclude.
Fr. Luis Manuel Romero, coordinator of the Vocational Pastoral Service of the CEE has explained in a presentation press conference that three objectives are sought with this Congress: to conceive life as a vocation, promote vocational culture and encourage the creation of the creation of Vocational pastoral teams in all dioceses.
