Also, in dozens of Colombian cities such as Bogotá, Cali, Cartagena, Chiquinquirá, Duitama, Girardot, Guapi, Ibagué, Manizales, Medellín, Pereira, Popayán, Tunja, Villavicencio, among others.

In Bogotá, the Mass was held in the Santo Domingo de Guzmán convent, with the participation of apostolates as God in the company y Sacred Peregrine Heartthis last person in charge of the image of the Sacred Heart that entered in procession and before which Fr. Astolfo Moreno, president of the Board of Directors of ACN Colombia, directed the sentence of consecration.
In that sense, Alejandra Arias, from Sacred Heart Peregrine, told ACI Press that this apostolate was born in Colombia 29 years ago thanks to her grandmother’s initiative and today, along with her husband, they take the image to households, hospitals and places where people can “give their hearts” to Jesus.
For his part, Pedro Miguel Niño, of God in the company, said that it has been essential to deliver his company to Christ, because “God wants to accompany us and illuminate all the aspects of our life” and “that we live according to the social doctrine of the Church, subsidiarity, human dignity, the search for the common good.” “You have to sanctify the work by serving others,” he said.
Be signs of the merciful love of God
When reflecting on the parable of the lost sheep, Fr. Astolfo Moreno invited entrepreneurs to imitate the shepherd who does not stay with the 99 sheep that he has left, but goes out to look for the one who has been lost.
“This pastor does not delegate certain things, he deals, he is delivered, does anything, such as leaving the 99 in order to rescue one,” he said, and indicated that this behavior “speaks of a deep love for what is done” and inspires to reflect on “how we live the work today.”
Fr. Moreno clarified that although Christ delegated certain functions to his apostles and disciples, he reserved for himself the fundamental: surrender. “He did not say, you will die for me. The task of dying, the task of donating his heart, did not delegate it. That is undelegable,” he said.
“And this parable tells us,” he explained, “that people care is what I should not deliver. I must take care of that, as an entrepreneur, as a leader, in the image of Christ.”
Fr. Astolfo Moreno also mentioned the encyclical letter Loves usthat Pope Francis wrote about the heart of Jesus, and recalled that Catholics are called to love everyone, “also those who do not think like them.”
“Those who pray for all, by the enemy, for which he destroys me, that is to be a Christian. The other is to be part of a band, a side, of a party. And the Christian is not essentially of a party, although he may have the right to pray what he wants in politics,” he said.
The Catholic, he said, “is first and foremost to follow Christ. And what has Christ done? (…). He died for us when we were sinners, that is, when we did not deserve it.”
Jesus “has dealt with us and you and I have a task,” said the priest, “that we are his signs and that we are merciful love for others.”
Culminated the homily, Fr. Astolfo Moreno directed the prayer of consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, devotion disseminated by Santa Margarita de Alacoque.
