The bishops of the Episcopal Conference of Chile, gathered in their 129th Plenary Assembly, they chose this Wednesday to the members who will occupy the management positions and the episcopal commissions in the triennium 2024-2027, resulting in the new president of the Episcopate, Monsignor René Rebolledo, Archbishop of La Serena.
The vote renewed the positions of all services, with the exception of the general secretary, who will change next year, reported the Communications Office of the Episcopal Conference of Chile (CECh).
The Permanent Committee of the CECh will be integrated in the next triennium by Mons. René Rebolledo Salinas, Archbishop of La Serena, as president; Mons. Ignacio Ducasse Medina, Archbishop of Antofagasta, vice president; and Mons. Sergio Pérez de Arce Arriagada, Bishop of Chillán, who continues as general secretary. Mons. Fernando Chomali Garib, Archbishop of Santiago; and Mons. Juan González Errázuriz, Bishop of San Bernardo; They will also be members of the committee.
