From different parts of Latin America, the volunteers of the International Volunteer Network of the Ewtn Missionary Friends They celebrated this August 15, in the solemnity of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, the 44 years that Mother Angelica founded Ewtn.
Missionary friends currently has a presence in 19 countries in Latin America, and many volunteers joined the traditional celebration to share ice cream On this date.

Some of Ewtn’s missionary friends volunteers sent their greeting message for the 44th anniversary of the world’s largest world media network.
María Inés Patiño, from Bogotá (Colombia), recalled that it has been a little over 20 years as part of this volunteer, and stressed that Ewtn and Mother Angelica have enriched their “life as a Christian, my baptism, my formation, also devotion to the Holy Eucharist.”
“All films and documentaries, live, live programs, for me have been of great wealth and especially in the testimony that I have seen not only through mine, but of my family,” he said.
From Pilar, province of Buenos Aires (Argentina), Marta Boggio recalled that on one occasion he wrote to Madre Angélica, telling him “that my TV made sense thanks to the quality of its programming.”
“Today I join the celebration of the 44 years taking a refrigerator. And I send a huge hug to the entire EWTN team,” he added.
David Arboleda, who collaborates in the General Coordination of Missionary Friends of Ewtn from Quito (Ecuador), shared for his part that “Ewtn has opened the doors in my family, with my friends, collaborators, etc. towards that path to holiness.”
“It has helped me in difficulties, in good and bad, as they say. So I can’t imagine my life without Ewtn,” he said.
In statements to ACI Press, Ximena Izquierdo, manager of Missionary Friends of Ewtn for Latin America, expressed her joy and gratitude for power, “on this special day, to continue and continue the tradition that Mother Angelica left us as a legacy.”
“It is beautiful to be able to celebrate another year of this work that is from the hands of God and that has been constantly growing by the will of God, and also for the love and work of so many friends and volunteers worldwide,” he said.
From Missionary Friends, he said, “we want to remind you as always that we are a family and that as a family today we celebrate 44 years, one more anniversary of the foundation.”
This celebration, he said, is done “together as a spiritual family, taking ice cream with great joy, as our dear and beloved Mother Angelica did and as we still do in the Ewtn offices.”
“Happy Day of the Assumption of Mary and happy day for this new year of celebration together,” he concluded.
