With much joy in the heart I thank all the doctors who intervened in his surgery, our heroes! Today we took another step in their recovery.”

Hours before surgery, María Claudia Tarazona pointed out, also on Instagram and in a publication in which she appears with her son and before an image of the Virgin of Fatima, that “Miguel needs them with their prayers, faith, love and good energy to get closer again to the miracle of his recovery. Appealing to the love that each of you has told us, I beg you to join us.
From the Santa Fe Clinic, in Bogotá, where Miguel Uribe is hospitalized, his cousin Cristian Halaby published a video in X, in which he comments that Friday was “a very good day for Miguel that will be strengthened of all this.”
Halaby also highlighted the importance of “the prayers of all Colombians, of all those who have been in the film with this, of which we have suffered this country of orphans, victims, violence.”
“Miguel is the symbol that will help us and accompany us. And that is why God, I’m sure, he will do the complete miracle,” he said.
The death of Nydia Quintero, grandmother of Miguel Uribe Turbay
Nydia Quintero Turbay de Balcázar, grandmother of Miguel Uribe Turbay, mother of the journalist Diana Turbay – assigned in 1991 – and wife of former president Julio César Turbay, died this June 30 at 93, at the same clinic in which her grandson is hospitalized.
The burning chapel has been placed in the National Capitol – Elliptical Salon in Bogotá, until Wednesday, July 2 at 10:00 am the exequias mass will be held that day at 12:00 and, according to Maria Carolina Hoyos Turbay, sister of Miguel Uribe, will be chaired by Cardinal Luis José Rueda, archbishop of Bogotá.
Hoyos Turbay had published on June 28 on Instagram a photo with Miguel Uribe and Nydia Quintero, and asked all his prayers for his brother and grandmother: “What a great emotional challenge … but also, what an opportunity to continue trusting in God, the Virgin Mary, our holy beautiful Saint Charbel, all angels and all the saints! Thank you for being close.”
“Doña Nydia, the lady of solidarity, started leaving Colombia a better place. His life sowed purpose and light. His example will remain alive among us and will be the guide for Miguel, who honors in each act the legacy of his grandmother,” said Maria Claudia Tarazona on Instagram yesterday.
“With infinite pain, but also with deep pride, we said goodbye to the woman who changed the history of Colombia,” added María Claudia.
Nydia Quintero was the founder and director, between 1975 and 2016, of the Solidaridad Foundation for Colombia, which has been made since 1979 the so -called Walk of Solidarity, a charity event that consists of a caravan of artists in Bogotá, which in recent years has also included a career and a musical festival.
Its objective is to raise funds for the social programs of the Foundation, which have as its central axis the education, health and recreation of poor children and adolescents of Colombia.
