In a press message, Actívate demanded on March 14 “the promotion and respect of the human right to religious freedom,” which “is affected by this project, highlighting that respect for the Catholic population in Mexico is essential.”
They clarified that the objective of the signatures “is at no time to limit artistic freedom,” but rather “to promote sensitivity toward the beliefs of all Mexicans.”
“We firmly believe in the importance of mutual respect and peaceful coexistence in our society,” says the message shared with ACI Prensa.
