Mexico: RCCES invites young people from Mexico City to its regional meeting

The Catholic Charismatic Renewal in the Holy Spirit (RCCES) movement invites the youth of Mexico City to “have an encounter with Jesus” at its next Regional Meeting of Youth in the Holy Spirit (ERJES), which will take place on Saturday the 13th. July in Mexico City.

This event will take place in the Santo Niño parish, located at Mirasol 59, Colonia Atempa, Cuauhtémoc Mayor’s Office, and will bring together young people from the dioceses of Xochimilco, Azcapotzalco, Iztapalapa and the Primate Archdiocese of Mexico, to live a profound experience of faith.

Patricia Solís Pérez, coordinator of the RCCES for the Archdiocese of Mexico, indicated in an interview with ACI Prensa that the main objective of the meeting “is for young people to experience the love of God in their lives through an encounter with Jesus, and to allow May the Holy Spirit guide your lives.”

The RCCES is a Catholic movement that brings together communities and prayer and praise groups. These groups are characterized by the practice of charismas such as community prayer, spiritual retreats and healing days.

According to Solís Pérez, the mission of the RCCES is for people to have “an encounter with Jesus, through an experience of the presence of the Holy Spirit in their lives.”

He also pointed out the importance of youth participation in the life of the Catholic Church to “give new impetus to our Church, promoting a personal conversion, matured by the experience of the Holy Spirit in young people, encouraging and collaborating with the mission of evangelization of church”.

The ERJES will also serve as preparation for the National Meeting of Youth in the Holy Spirit (ENJES), which will take place at the Sanctuary of the Martyred Children in Guadalajara, in the state of Jalisco, from July 26 to 28.

“Through ERJES, the young people of the Province of Mexico are preparing their hearts to join the brothers of the different provinces of Mexico, where they share the realities of the young people of the country and are trained to contribute to evangelization in their environments,” indicated the RCCES coordinator for the Archdiocese of Mexico.
