“I am waiting for Mr. (Mario) Patrón to respond, who was the Prodh member then, and is now director of the Ibero in Puebla, of the Jesuit group. He is not a Jesuit, that lawyer. But I need you to give me an explanation for this. Furthermore, I ask the Jesuits to hopefully help us in the investigation,” he continued.
Mario Patrón was director of the Prodh Center between 2014 and 2019, and is currently rector of the Universidad Iberoamericana, part of the Jesuit University System, in the state of Puebla.
Prodh Center: López Obrador’s accusations generate “misinformation”
In response to López Obrador, the Prodh Center assured on December 18 that the accusations of the president of Mexico generate “misinformation,” and noted that in the president’s press conference “the reality about the Ayotzinapa case and the role of the Miguel Agustín Pro Juárez Human Rights Center was distorted.”
