On June 2, Mexican citizens will elect the next president, new members of the Congress of the Union and state and municipal governors. In this context, the pro-life march will demand from politicians “better conditions for our nature to motherhood.”
Among other proposals, the pact seeks that all candidates for elected office in 2024 assume specific commitments, such as “recognizing the right to life from pregnancy to natural death,” as well as the implementation of “legal and economic incentives”, so that families can “guarantee the full development” of their members.
“For there to be an unborn child, there is a vulnerable mother in crisis, scared or threatened by being kicked out of work or home. So, we cannot ignore that the conditions for maternity to be welcomed are difficult,” Rebollo mentioned.
Therefore, in addition to addressing legislators, the pro-life leader pointed out that the march also calls on bosses and workers to recognize motherhood as part of “female nature and adopt policies that support it.”
