The Archdiocese of Durango, in northern Mexico, launched a spiritual challenge for the year 2024, inviting Catholics to dedicate 15 minutes a day to worshiping the Blessed Sacrament in the tabernacle.
This challenge, promoted by Bishop Faustino Armendáriz Jiménez, Archbishop of Durango, has the main objective of helping the faithful to “become aware of the presence of the living Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament of the altar.”
In an interview with ACI Prensa, Mons. Armendáriz Jiménez, who is also president of the Prophetic Pastoral of the Mexican Episcopate Conference (CEM), pointed out that through this campaign the aim is to “inspire the community to fulfill the will of God in their lives”, as well as generating a “personal and social transformation”.
