The delivery of the replica was after A Mass in which hundreds of young Mexicans called for the jubilee participated. The celebration was chaired by Mons. Andrés Luis García Jasso, auxiliary bishop of the Primada Archdiocese of Mexico, who invited Mexicans to believe with conviction that “Catholic youth is alive.”
During the homily, Mons. García Jasso said that “these types of encounters allow us to discover that, like you, there are many young people with the same fighting, the same struggles and the same hope. And hope does not disappoint,” said the prelate during his homily.

The bishop encouraged young people to recognize that they are “the present of the Catholic Church. Today we are here and we have something to say to the world: that Christ is alive, that Christ is in our heart, that Christ lifts me every time I stumble.”
Finally, he invited them to ask the Lord “an open heart, so that the spirit will guide them to find faith and salvation”, and thus bring that message of life to the world.
About the Church
According to him website Of the Order of Regular Clericans, known as Los Teatinos, the Basilica of Sant’Andrea della Valle is the headquarters of the General House of this Congregation.
In addition to its beauty, which distinguishes it from other churches in Rome, the Basilica houses since 1623 the mortal remains of two pontiffs: Pius II and Pío III; the relics of the holy martyrs Antonio and Fortunato; as well as the remains of Cardinal Teatino San Josemaría Tomasi.
“Testimony of Christ living”
For many, the jubilee of young people was a transformative experience. Diego Martínez, one of the young participants, shared with ACI Press that he “was looking for God, but I didn’t know that God was already waiting for me.”
He added that his greatest desire is now to share that experience and that “I do not want to stay for me. The day I return to my home, to my community, with all the people I know and leave at home, I will simply tell you everything that this jubilee was for me.”
Similarly, Tamara Mendez, also told ACI Press his desire to become a “testimony of Christ living.”
“As Catholic, I want to be an example for that love, for that joy with which we do things. And I think it must be everything: we have to put God in the center of our lives,” he said.
Víctor Rodríguez, also from Mexico City, highlighted the impact of the meeting “has been very rewarding, because you realize that there are young Catholics willing to follow Christ throughout the world.”
He added that, although sometimes it is said that “the Catholic Church is in decline, or that the same is no longer lived; it is totally a lie.”
