This Monday, September 15, Pope Leo XIV will preside over the prayer vigil of the jubilee of consolation in the Basilica of San Pedro del Vaticano.
According to Official Jubilee Yearto the jubilee of the consolation “all those who are going through a moment of pain and affliction are particularly invited, due to diseases, mourning, violence and abuses suffered, along with their family and friends.”

The jubilee of the consolation will begin from 8:00 am (Rome time) with the pilgrimage to the Holy Gate. The vigil together with the Holy Father is scheduled for 5:00 pm, and carries as a theme “return hope, drying tears.”
According to Vatican NewsOfficial Information Medium of the Vatican, more than 8,500 pilgrims are expected for this jubilee, among which members of organizations that give comfort and attention to people who have lost a child prematurely, as well as relatives of victims of traffic accidents.
