Pope Leo XIV appointed special envoys for 3 anniversaries of the Catholic Church in different parts of the world next October, according to the Press Office of the Press of the Vatican.
Leo XIV appointed Cardinal Dominik Duka, Archbishop Emeritus of Prague, his special envoy for the Centennial celebrations of the erection of the Archdiocese of Gdańsk (Poland), which will be held in the Oliwa Cathedral on October 14, 2025.

Dominik Duka is an 82 -year -old Dominican. He was Archbishop of Prague in the Czech Republic between 2010 and 2022. Cardinal was created by Pope Benedict XVI in 2012.

Claudio Gugerotti has worked at the service of the Holy See since 1997. He has been an apostolic nuncio in Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Ukraine and Great Britain. He was created Cardinal by Pope Francis in 2023.
