According to a statement distributed by the press office of the Holy See, Pope Leo Leo XIV has confirmed the positions of the Vatican Curia “until the opposite is available” and announces a period of reflection before any new appointment.
“His Holiness Leo XIV has expressed his willingness that the bosses and members of the institutions of the Roman curia, as well as the secretaries and the president of the Pontifical Commission for the state of the city of the Vatican, continue, provisionally, in their respective charges until the opposite is available,” says the text.

“The Holy Father wishes, in effect, to reserve a time for reflection, prayer and dialogue, before any definitive appointment or confirmation,” he concludes.
