Lent 2024: Young Catholics in Cuba celebrate Mass and Via Crucis

A group of young people from various communities and charisms, as well as members of the Youth Ministry of the Archdiocese of Havana, in Cuba, gathered to celebrate the first Mass and the first Via Crucis of the Lenten season.

The Eucharist, celebrated on Friday, February 16 in the parish of San Juan de Letrán, located in the neighborhood of El Vedado, was presided over by the parish priest, Father Raisel Pomares, friar of the Order of Preachers, and concelebrated by the priests advisors of the local Youth Ministry, Father Dyan Rivero and Father Junior Antonio Delgado.

Among the young Catholic lay people present, EWTN Noticias had the opportunity to speak with Miguel Suárez and Luzmari Rodríguez, who assure that this liturgical season takes on a deeper meaning when they unite in prayer and participate in traditional devotions such as the way of the Cross.
