More than 80,000 people participated on Sunday, February 25, in the tenth edition of the Forgiveness Walk of the Archdiocese of Feira de Santana, in the Brazilian state of Bahia.
The walk is part of the calendar of activities of the archdiocese and the municipality, and takes place every year on the second Sunday of Lent. On the 3.3 kilometer route, the faithful prayed and sang, and some carried a large wooden cross.
This year, the theme of the event was ”You are all brothers and sisters” (Mt 23,8), based on the 2024 Fraternity Campaign of the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil (CNBB), which has as its theme “Fraternity and Social Friendship”, which in turn is inspired by the encyclical Brothers all from Pope Francis, on fraternity and social friendship.
