After a tense meeting held this Tuesday with the Minister of Social Rights, Pablo Bustinduy, large families have announced that they are mobilizing against a Family Law being prepared by the Government of Spain.
In a statement, the Spanish Federation of Large Families (FEFN), has explained that it rejects “the change in name and concept” proposed by the new norm. It is planned that, instead of being legally considered “numerous”, they will be called “families with greater needs for parenting support”.
The president of the FEFN, José Manuel Trigo, points out that “the number of children is the differentiating element of large families, which must be considered both to recognize the social contribution that these families make, as well as a factor that cannot be ignored. against these families, often penalized or discriminated against.”
