“I hope we can offer a trophy” to the patron
In his words before leaving the floral offering, Fr. Almenar asked the Mother of God “health for all players and also, with great humility we ask that I hope we can offer some trophy to our patron saint, this season.”
“We have all your intentions, those of your families and also those of the other sections of the club, especially the most veteran, older and sick of the Valencia Footballers Association,” he added.
Let’s pray before each game in the Mestalla
The Valencian priest also encouraged that “with effort, with humility and simply, our Valencia continues to cause that joy and splendor to so many fans who love you and that we love you.”
He also encouraged them to raise a prayer “in our small chapel of the Stadium of Mestalla, before starting each game.”
The priest also shared a greeting from the archbishop of Valencia, Mons. Enrique Benavent, and asked everyone to join the health sentences of Cardinal Antonio Cañizares, archbishop emeritus of Valencia, hospitalized on August 7.
