Kairy Márquez premieres “God my father”, the first single from Via Cantus Worship Collective recorded in Nashville

The music initiative via Cantus Worship Collective launched its first single engraving in Nashville (United States): “God my father”, played by the renowned Catholic singer -songwriter Kairy Márquez.

The theme is the Spanish version of “God My Father” by Jackie Francois and transmits – in the words of its creators – “tenderness and confidence in the parental love of the creator.”

In dialogue with ACI Press, Juan Delgado, music producer and co -founder of Via Cantus, explained that this project “was born in Argentina in 2023 as a space of music, prayer and worship.” As he said, his mission is to create community among Catholic artists and generate moments of encounter that give a new music for evangelization.

“Via Cantus Worship Collective is a very beautiful project that was born in Argentina in 2023. We did a concert called Salve 2023 with more than 5,000 people, and the next day we met to pray and record spontaneously. Songs that reflected community came out,” said Delgado.

After that first experience in Rosario, the collective expanded to Bogotá, Nashville and the Dominican Republic, adding artists such as Athenas, Verónica Sanfilippo, Pablo Martínez, Fruit del Madero, Station Zero, Celinés Díaz and Jonathan Narváez, among others.

The Nashville edition, considered the capital of contemporary Christian music in the United States, brought together Athenas, Verónica Sanfilippo, Nico Cabrera, Juan Delgado and Kairy Márquez. The musical production was in charge of Delgado himself, with a mixture of Kent Hooper, while the audiovisual direction was Dan Martinie’s responsibility.

Delgado highlighted the intensity and community character of the creative process: “It was a beautiful week: we rehearse, live together, we cook together and record five beautiful songs, three of them unpublished. Everything is done live, with a lot of technical effort, but above all looking for each community to make life in the project.”

The single “God my father” is the first of five songs that make up the Via Cantus Worship Collective Nashville series, which will include unpublished songs, new versions of already known songs and a spontaneous prayer recorded live.

Visible fruits

“If you enter our channel, you will see thousands of views in a few days, but more than the numbers, what moves us are the comments: people say that this music serves them and touches their hearts,” says Delgado

The producer also stressed the importance of community testimony: “People love to see Kairy, Athenas, Verónica joined in prayer and praise generates hope and joy … They are musicians who love each other and join to praise God. That shows, and it is what the faithful enjoy the most.”

Finally, Delgado says this “seeing miracles” in the Catholic musical ecosystem. “Miracles in musicians who have left careers to devote themselves to the mission because the Lord called them. The only thing God requires is a willing and faithful heart. When one tells him yes, the Lord does wonders,” he concluded.
