Mons. Rino Fisichella, Pro Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization, noted that “this is a very significant beginning” with a large influx of people.

Furthermore, he highlighted that the groups of pilgrims who arrive at the Way of Conciliationthe wide street that leads to San Pedro, “are giving an important testimony”, which he interpreted as “a sign of the great perception of security and protection that pilgrims experience in the city of Rome and around the four Pontifical Basilicas ”.

For his part, he stressed that they are working “tirelessly to guarantee pilgrims a welcome and an experience that lives up to their expectations.”
