The renowned Catholic Musical Ministry Jésed presented “Santurrón”, A double album of 16 unpublished songs that, in the words of its producer and composer Fede Carranza,“ is an invitation to recover that clean look and recognize that we all carry that universal call ”in the heart to holiness.
Carranza explained to Aci Prensa that the inspiration of the title comes from an experience of his childhood: “In school they told me ‘Santurrón ‘because he played to be a priest or found religious congregations. My inner child believed, with pure innocence, in the call to holiness. ”

With the passage of time, he admitted, “the sin and distractions of the world are moving away from that truth, and we come to see ourselves with cynicism, unable to yearn for holiness. If the alternative is to lose my soul, I prefer a thousand times that they call me ‘Santurrón’ before being ‘normal’ for the world.”
The album, a three -year fruit fruit, tells the story of a young convert that discovers that “holiness is not perfection but a life of virtue lived in relation to God, even in the midst of sin and pain.”
According to Carranza, “holiness is not an award that God gives to behave well; it is a lifestyle, a conscious choice of living for him in all aspects. It is not achieved when he reaches heaven: he reaches heaven because he lives in holiness here and now.”
Musically, Santurrón travels genres such as rock, pop, ballads, Latin rhythms and songs of worship characteristic of Jése, with narrative interludes that “allow the listener to identify with the main character at any stage of his life of faith.”
Carranza hopes that this album especially touchs those who feel far from God: “to discover that life in holiness is deeply attractive. They understand that it is always worth it, and that it is the only way to find true happiness.”
A few days after its launch, Santurrón is already the greatest success of the Ministry: “For God’s glory, it has been our most successful launch: more than 100,000 views in streaming since its premiere. It is a blessing to see how the ministry grows and how, by pure grace, we can reach more thirsty hearts of God.”
