Isabel la Católica is a saint of truths, indicates the driving force of her devotion

Father José Luis Rubio Willen, director of the Commission for the Beatification of Isabel la Católica, defends that the Spanish queen “is a saint of truths” and hopes that the growing popular devotion will accelerate the steps of her cause.

On the occasion of the 520th anniversary of her death, in statements released by the Enraizados civil foundation, formed by Catholics and which has been promoting for years the recognition of the spiritual and political life of the monarch, Father Rubio explains that “a miracle remains pending of study. By the time they give the approval in Rome and the study of the miracle begins, Isabel would already become Blessed.”

Rubio explains that “we are in the stage of increasing popular devotion, seeing it as holy and, above all, going with the truth. Isabel is a saint of truths.”

“Although the veneration is still private, we hope with popular devotion, with this hearts up Let us raise our hearts to God through the Servant of God Isabel and be able to further accelerate the steps we are taking, efficient and safe where the last word does not belong to a bishop nor does the Pope have it, it is God’s,” adds the priest. .

“God gives his saints when we need them most. I believe that today society, not only civil society, but also politics, is in need of these exemplary people,” Rubio concluded.

For years, Enraizados has been promoting the celebration of Masses “in thanksgiving for his life and work and, also, for his early beatification,” which are increasing in number. In 2024 at least 40 more Eucharists will be celebrated than last year.

In total, more than 170 Masses are confirmedalthough it is expected that they may exceed 190, of which the majority will be held in Spain. About thirty will be held in other countries, many of them places where the queen’s Catholic-inspired political action has left a mark.

Thus, Masses will be celebrated in Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Argentina, Cuba, Bolivia, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, United States, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands and Austria.

It should be noted that a Eucharist will also be celebrated in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem with this intention.

Although some have already been celebrated, the majority will take place this Tuesday, November 26, when it will be 520 years since the death of the Spanish queen.

After the Mass celebrated this Sunday with this intention, Mons. Juan Antonio Aznárez, Military Archbishop in Spain, commented that “in Isabel’s own will we see the reflection, in a queen of flesh and blood, of the true style of reigning our God and the style to which we are called to reign.”

For the president of Enraizados, José Castro, “this is an anonymous work of many people and also of institutions, entities and civic associations that work to keep Isabel’s memory alive.”

Regarding the constant increase in the number of Eucharists offered with this intention, Castro emphasizes that “these fruits tell us that we are on the right path and that the Lord awaits our perseverance and fidelity despite the obstacles.”

The Enraizados Foundation maintains a permanent campaign to collect signatures so that Isabel’s devotees can show their support and promote the early beatification of the Queen of Spain.
