In his words after the Regina Caeli prayer this Sunday, April 14, in St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican, Pope Francis referred to the attack that Iran launched against Israel and asked that the fire in Gaza soon cease; and that war and violence in the Holy Land be put to an end through dialogue.
“I continue in prayer, with concern and also pain, the news of the last few hours about the worsening of the situation in Israel due to the intervention by Iran,” said Pope Francis in the Vatican.
“I make a strong call to stop all actions that could fuel a spiral of violence with the risk of dragging the Middle East into an even larger war conflict,” the Holy Father continued.
