Regarding International Women’s Day, the Women’s Area of the Department of Laity, dependent on the Episcopal Commission for Life, Laity and Family of Argentina, shared a letter titled “Among you it should not be like this”, which calls to build peace in contexts of violence and takes the example of Santa Mama Antula.
In the context of “difficult times, of deep confrontations” and going through “a precarious economic and social situation at the national and global level”, “discussions, fights and confrontations” are provoked in public and private media, the letter states.
In particular, the publication focuses on “violence against women” and warns that “far from decreasing, it is growing every day.”
