This Friday, December 29, an image of the Virgin that had been stolen and that was recovered in Bolivia by a priest will return to the Nuestra Señora de Luján School, in the Salta town of Salvador Mazza (Argentina).
According to local press, the image had been stolen from the school playground days ago. The perpetrator of the robbery would have been captured by surveillance cameras when he was taking the image of the Virgin of Luján, and the Police would be on his trail.
Father Walter Sandoval, parish priest of the San José and San Antonio parish, in San José de Pocitos (Bolivia), came across the image when they wanted to sell it to him in his town. The priest suspected that the statue came from Argentina and he bought it so he could return it to its place of origin.
