The pilgrims were summoned with the motto And camped among usbecause it was two days in which they were welcomed in tents installed within the parish field, sharing experiences with young people from different realities, but with the same desire to meet the Lord.
For this, from the first day the participants were invited to approach the Park of Forgiveness, where they could find priests willing to listen to them and to administer the sacrament of reconciliation, and from there to go to the worship chapel.

During both days these were two busy spaces, because there was no time when young people did not approach, including those who formed the groups of volunteers created so that everything came out as programmed.
There was also an environment arranged for pilgrims to know about vocations to consecrated life and why not?, Respond to Christ’s call by entering any of the congregations present.
And there was also the main tent, the largest of those that were raised in the field to host, among other activities, the prayer of the rosary and the closing mass that was chaired by the auxiliary bishop of Bogotá, Mons. Edwin Vanegas.
In the prayer of the glorious mysteries, the participants reflected on the hope, theological virtue that encourages the jubilee that the Catholic Church celebrates until January 26, 2026. “We are called to take Christ to a wounded world,” was one of the phrases that were told to young people.
And thus, as a sign of the universality of the Church, each denarius was progressively recited in Portuguese, English, Italian, French and Latin.
You are very important in the beautiful work of salvation
Finally, the time of the Mass came, which began with the entrance in procession of the jubilee cross and the priests who concelebrated the Eucharist with Mons. Vanegas, who in his homily reminded the young people of the importance that they have “in the beautiful work of salvation”.
In that sense, the bishop highlighted the possibility that the pilgrims had to reconcile with God through confession and thus “leave eager to be merciful as the father is merciful.”
But, in addition, he invited them to reflect on how they will narrate in their environments what they have experienced these days, because “when Jesus reaches the life of one and sows his seed in the heart, we necessarily have to be eloquent, to narrate what we have lived.”

“That others may have the opportunity to know the beautiful, beautiful and good news of Jesus. Tell him, publish it, that hopefully what we can write these days in our networks are those insinuations of God in the heart, suddenly someone needs that word, suddenly someone needs only that a word of comfort is activated in his heart,” he said.
The bishop also encouraged young people to strengthen interpersonal relationships so that they do not stay only in the virtual, and strengthen his encounter with God through the prayer of his knees.
“We can have resources of many things, talents, skills, but there is something that we have to take care of a lot, and it is the education of our spirit, of our inner life.”

He also told them that if God calls them to enter through the narrow door “it is not because Jesus wants to get it difficult, no, (but) because he wants us to enter one by one, to be able to look at us to the heart and tell us ‘it was worth the life I gave for you’.
Mons. Vanegas recalled that the Church is living the year of hope and needs young people to be able to bring Christian hope to this world that needs it.
