The app Rentennials connect both parts. Known as “the Airbnb of cars”this company acts as an intermediary between car owners and users/tourists who need mobility in a destination. It is a private car rental application.
Born in Mendoza in 2022, the company currently operates in several destinations in Argentina (Mendoza is where they have the most traction as it is the place of origin, but they also have a presence in Río Negro, City and province of Buenos Aires, Tierra del Fuego, Córdoba, Jujuy , Neuquén and Tucumán); Mexico (Cancún, Playa del Carmen, Tulum), Peru (Lima, Cuzco and Tumbes) and USA (Miami and Orlando, two of the favorite destinations of Argentines).
“We already have 750 cars loaded on the platform11,600 registered users and in this time we have completed more than 3,100 rentals,” says Gerardo Germano, one of the founders of the platform along with Andrés Puebla, in a conversation with Clarín.
Differences with car rental companies
When it comes to differentiating itself from traditional car rental companies, Germano raises several issues.
