Citroën presented in Argentina the new C3 Aircross, the compact SUV that stands out for being the only one in its segment to offer versions with three rows of seats.
The launch, which includes a total of seven versions, takes place just over a month after the exclusive pre-sale for the savings plan began.
Another strong selling point is that the C3 Aircross is the option cheapest on the market for those looking for a vehicle with seven seats, since prices with this configuration start at $ 25.000.000.
Habitability and comfort
Produced in the Porto Real Industrial Complex (RJ) on the same platform as the C3 and with 75% of components manufactured in the region, the C3 Aircross measures 4.32 meters long, 1.79 meters wide and has a wheelbase of 2.67, a fairly wide measurement for being a compact model. . Therein lies part of its secret to being able to accommodate three rows of seats.
The second row offers one of the widest spaces in the segment, allowing passengers to even cross their legs. The ground clearance is also generous: 233 millimeters.
The seats were designed with different types of foam to increase comfort, while the driver’s seat adds armrests. In addition, the cabin has more than 15 storage spaces, USB ports for the third row of seats and air vents on the roof.
To increase the cargo capacity (493 dm3), the two seats in the third row are individual and removable. That is, you can use both, just one, or remove them completely to gain cargo space. The brand explained that the extraction process is simple and each seat weighs 8 kilos.
The versions with the 1.6 engine have a fifth-speed manual transmission, while those equipped with the T200 have a CVT automatic.Another highlight of the interior is the new 7 inch digital dashboardwith up to six screen configurations and two color options.
In turn, the multimedia system is made up of a 10-inch screen with Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay, with up to five USB connections.
In terms of safety, it offers stability and traction control, hill start assist, side airbags, autonomous emergency braking, rear view camera and rear sensors, among others.
Unpublished mechanics
The intermediate and top-of-the-range equipment versions are equipped with the new engine Turbo 200which delivers a power of 120 horsepower and a torque of 200 Nm, and is associated with an automatic transmission with continuous ratios (CVT) and seven simulated speeds.
The third row seats are individual and removable. For their part, the entry-level variants have the already known 1.6-liter 115 horsepower, associated with a five-speed manual gearbox.
The suspensions were calibrated and adapted to our soil, while its structure is made up of 65% high and ultra resistance steels.
