A month after its launch in Brazil, Citroën Argentina announced the start of pre-sales and savings plan subscription for the Basalt, the third exponent of the C-Cubo project that was born in 2022 with the C3 and continued in 2023 with the C3 Aircross
The Citroën Basalt is the third compact SUV that the French brand offers in our market (along with C3 Aircross and C4 Cactus), and is distinguished by having a coupe-style silhouette.
In this first stage, only the entry-level variant (Live PK) will be available, the price of which is $ 23.280.000 places it just below the most equipped C3 ($23,520,000).
The model is offered in an 84-month plan, 70/30 modality, with a subscription of $180,049, discounts of 20% and 10% between installments 1 and 18 and an agreed allocation in installments 6, 9 and 12, bidding 30% of the extraordinary rate.
Additionally, as a benefit of this pre-sale, the brand offers comprehensive insurance at the price of full third parties for 6 months in the following companies: La Caja (TR with 5% deductible at the price of full third parties) and La Segunda (TR with franchise 3.5% at full third party prices).
Mechanically, the Live PK version has the well-known gasoline engine. 1.6 liters of 115 horsepowerassociated with a five-speed manual gearbox. While in terms of equipment, its four airbags, hill start assistant, electric steering, armrest for the driver, Isofix hooks for child seats, multimedia system with 10-inch touch screen and multifunction steering wheel stand out.
Two other versions will be added soon. The intermediate Feel It will have the same mechanical set and will add equipment such as a 7″ digital instrument panel, LED daytime running lights and 16″ wheels; while the top of the range Shine will take the engine three-cylinder 1.0 turbo 120 hp (T200), associated with a CVT automatic transmission, and will add automatic climate control, rear parking sensors and a black roof, among others.
Citroën announced that it will also have a special launch version called “First Edition“, with the T200 engine and exclusive customization.
Developed by the Stellantis engineering team in the region and produced at the Brazilian plant in Porto Real, the Basalt is characterized by fusing the silhouette of an SUV with that of a coupe and providing the comfort of a sedan.
Aesthetically it has many similarities with the Fiat Fastback, despite being a few centimeters shorter and being developed on another platform (CMP). Both models stand out for their ground clearance, raised hood, flared fenders with black moldings and a long tailgate drop.
Another joint attribute is the interior space and the generous loading capacity of its trunk. 490 liters which can be expanded up to 1,540 with the rear seats folded.
