Ford Argentina presented the update of the Bronco Sportthe medium SUV that first arrived in 2021. The model comes from Mexico with some aesthetic touch -ups and improved equipment.
The range is still composed of two versions. The range input retains the denomination Big Bendwhile the full is now called Badlands -Sterely Wildrak-.
Both offer the new EcoBoost turbonastic engines configuration. The Big Bles variant carries the 1.5 liters of 184 hp (9 hp more than its predecessor) and 258 nm of torque, while the Badlands is equipped with the 2.0 liters of 253 hp and 375 nmthe most powerful in its category.
The transmission is 8 -speed automatic For the two versions, as well as 4×4 traction. The suspension is independent on the four wheels.
Like any bronco, the 4×4 traction system has a land management device that now offers up to Seven management modes. To the normal, echo, sporty, slippery and rock modes, two new ones joined: Rallywhich allows a more dynamic and fun conduction in sand, and SUVdesigned to offer maximum control and traction on steep surfaces.
The Bronco Sport also offers electronic rear and central differential block, a cruise speed control designed specially for the off-road (One-Pedal Trail) and a new 360 degree vision chamber.
Changes outside and inside
The new aesthetic includes features inspired by the first generation of the 60s, also shared by its older brother Bronco Wildrak V6.
The tube shows a renewed straight line grill, new bumper with high -resistance front steel plate, robust rescue hooks and the classic circular headlights with full LED lighting. The hood was also redesigned and according to the brand it offers a better visual from the ends of the vehicle in off-road maneuvers.
On the side, the safari-style roof (with bi-tone paint in the Badlands version) and the holder bars that allow mounting up to a tent. SUV TIRES 225/60/18 in the Big Bend version, and 225/65/17 in the Badlands version, both shoes on new design distinctive tires.
While in the rear sector, the double -opening back gate specially designed to facilitate the storage and download of small elements during outdoor activities, a new bumper design and LED headlights stand out.
The cabin was also thought for adventure, although without neglecting the incorporation of more technology. For example, the floor of the Badlands variant is washable rubber, allowing to facilitate cleaning after outdoor activities. In addition, it offers plugs (home type) in the rear and the trunk.
This is combined with a digital environment composed of two huge 12.3 “screens, one for the Sync 4 multimedia system and another for the instrument board.
Ford emphasizes that updated Bronco Sport Users can live an experience without cables or keys, since the SYNC 4 system has Apple Carplay / Android compatibility auto -crop and inductive charger; while access and starting is done without keys. From the remote command, the vehicle can also be turned on and heal.
Greater security
As standard, both versions incorporate 9 airbags (front and companion front, front and rear thorax sides, curtain and knee sides for the driver).
It also offers the driving assistance package (Ford Co-Pilot 360), which as a novelty incorporates reverse braking assistance and cameras with 360 vision for greater safety in difficult maneuvers.
It is worth remembering that the Ford Co-Pilot 360 includes: Adaptive cruise speed control with Stop & Go function, pre-collision assistant with autonomous emergency and pedestrian detection braking, frontal collision alert and dynamic braking help, cross-traffic braking, blind angle alert and maintenance system and lane centered system with fatigue detector, among others.
