As part of its 46th anniversary, Honda Argentitna announced that over the next three years it will invest US$15.4 million at its Campana plant, province of Buenos Aires, with the aim of expanding the export project of locally manufactured parts.
The strategy is increase the manufacturing of export partsto be able to supply other production centers that the Japanese company has mainly in the region.
For years the brand has been the one that sells and produces the most motorcycles in Argentina, surpassing the 1.4 million units manufactured since 2006, when it began as a producer in Florencio Varela, before moving its operations to Campana.
Honda’s export activity in Argentina has a long history. In motorcycles, it started ago more than ten yearswith the XR250 Tornado as the flagship model. Previously, in cars, the company manufactured the City and HR-V models, in the period between 2011 and 2019.
While the export of parts and pieces began at the same time as the production of motorcycles and increased steadily, with the main destination being the Brazilian replacement market.
Production in Argentina
Currently in Campana they produce nine motorcycle models that reach markets such as Bolivia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Ghana, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Dominican Republic and Uruguay, in addition to supplying the Argentine market.
The kickoff of industrial activity in the country was in 2006, with the location of the Florencio Varela plant in Buenos Aires. The first national model was the Biz C105, and then Wave NF100, which would become the best-selling motorcycle in Argentina for five consecutive years. Throughout its history, Honda has manufactured 30 motorcycle models in the country.

So far this year, Honda leads the market with 55,924 units sold and a participation volume of 22.9%. It is followed by Motomel, with 33,462 patented units (13.7%) and then Corven, with 27,671 (11.4%).
As for the most patented model, the Honda Wave 110, the historical leader of previous years, continues to comfortably lead. The low-displacement motorcycle accumulates 28,686 units sold in 2024 and is the only one on the market with a double-digit participation rate (11.4%).
With more than 770 employees, a dealer network of more than 274 official points of sale distributed throughout the country and strong commitments to safety and the environment.
