Honda Argentina announced that the CR-V, one of the most successful models of the Japanese brand, received a discount of more than $12,000,000.
The discount, which has already come into effect, was applied to the entry-level version (LX 2WD), which in the August price list was listed at $56,000 (about $72,800,000 to the blue dollar) and which has now been pesified. in $ 59.900.000.
In this way, the entry-level price of the midsize SUV is closer to the most equipped version of the ZR-V model, currently at $51,441,000.
The reduction is accompanied by a financing plan of up to $10,000,000 payable in 12 months at a 0% rate, which is also offered in the HR-V model.
For the moment, the measure only affects this single version. For its part, the full variant (EX 2WD) remains dollarized at US$ 60,000.
The announcement was made within the framework of the presentation of the new CR-V and Civic hybrids that will be launched on sale in October and November respectively.
The company clarified that the plan responds exclusively to a strategy to encourage the sale of this model and that it has nothing to do with the changes in the PAIS tax announced last week by the national government.
In any case, this reduction comes in a context in which several brands decided to make cuts of up to $11,000,000 in the value of some of their products.
The general discounts were between 2% and 4%, although there were specific models that dropped much more such as the Renault Oroch, Alaskan and Koleos.
Launched in the local market in early 2024, the new generation of the famous medium SUV arrives from the United States with a figure with sharper lines but with cleaner surfaces.
Mechanically it maintains the same turbocharged engine. 1.5 liter 191 horsepower coupled to a CVT automatic transmission and a single-wheel drive system.
The CR-V LX is equipped with high safety equipment consisting of 10 airbags (front and front sides, curtain, rear sides and knee for driver and passenger), stability and traction control, hill start assist and descent control, among others.
Furthermore, it has the driving assistance package (Honda Sensing) among which the adaptive cruise control with low-speed following, autonomous emergency braking, active lane-keeping system and automatic light adjustment stand out.
