The Easter Vigil and Easter Sunday remember the anniversary of the triumph of Jesus Christ, the happy conclusion of his Passion and the joy that overcomes pain: the redemption and liberation of humanity from sin.
Father Donato Jiménez, member and collaborator of the Catholic Encyclopedia, explained to ACI Prensa the difference between the two.
On Easter Sunday the liturgy “es practically the same as the one we celebrate on the vigil of Holy Saturday. What happens is that during the vigil of Holy Saturday it becomes night and most of the faithful cannot attend.”
