An expert doctor explained what could be read in a medical death of Jesus Christ, in case one had been issued.

“Other factors that were probably involved in death were dehydration; heart arrhythmia produced by stress; pericardial spill, accumulation of water between the heart and the pericardium; pleural spill induced by the trauma and disseminated intravascular coagulation, that is, the blood is coagulates and therefore there is no flow,” he said.

Dr. Valenzuela, a surgeon with a PhD in physiology at the Medical Center of the University of Mississippi (United States), also stressed that “Christ in the Mount of Olives presented a medical condition that is quite rare: blood in sweat.”

The doctor pointed out that the Romans “perfected” the technique of the crucifixion “to produce maximum pain and that the person dies slowly, that their agony is prolonged.”
Dr. Valenzuela also explained that, in the position they placed Jesus, “it is extraordinarily difficult to breathe.”
