Regarding the decree, the archbishop clarified that it does not name him a parish priest but rather a parish administrator. “Let’s go slowly,” he noted.
Addressing the faithful, he made a request: “Accompany Oscar, do not leave him alone, you are a very hard-working community in some aspects, but not in others. Trust each other, in community work.”
“Oscar, you know this community very well, you know that it has suffered, because it is not common for you to be the third priest in 4 years,” the prelate told the new parish administrator. “You have to be smart, go with the community, with people who are going to test you,” he advised.
