The news shakes Argentine motorsports. José Agustín Larroudé, 20-year-old pilot who worked in the category APAC -the maxim of regional motorsport-, died after an accident that occurred on provincial route number 30, 25 kilometers from Rauch, his hometown.
The official APAC account said goodbye to him on social networks with an emotional video that includes the most notable images of his career. “We are going to miss you Pepito”wrote to communicate the death of Larroudé, son of a former driver who competed in Turismo Carretera at the beginning of the current century.
He had just achieved victory last Sunday in the “Race of the Million” held at the Autodromo La Cascada de la Villa Don Bosco, in Tandil, where he added his best times aboard a Chevrolet 400 from the Messa Sport team. There he won a prize of one million pesos.
The van in which he was traveling got lost and caused his immediate death, while a companion identified as Tobias Torresi, Also 20 years old, he was assisted by emergency personnel and rushed to a municipal hospital.
The Health System doctor, Silvana Elisio, reported his admission at 7:30 a.m. “brought by ambulance after suffering a traffic accident.” She stated that he “is lucid, hemodynamically stable, with injuries to his face and neck and a slight pneumothorax.”
