Hate Law in Scotland: JK Rowling’s comments about “trans” people could violate new law, warn

“For several years, Scottish women have been pressured by their government and members of the police force to deny the evidence of their eyes and ears, repudiate biological facts and embrace a neo-religious concept of gender that is unquestionable and unqualifiable,” Rowling indicated in a series of publications on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

“The redefinition of ‘woman’ to include any man who identifies as such has already had serious consequences for the rights and safety of women and girls in Scotland, with the strongest impact felt, as always, by the most vulnerable, including prisoners and rape survivors,” Rowling continued.

“It is impossible to accurately describe or address the reality of violence and sexual violence committed against women and girls, or to address the current attack on the rights of women and girls, unless we are allowed to call a man a man . Freedom of expression and belief has ended in Scotland if accurate description of biological sex is considered a crime,” she continued.
