The designers Gustavo Pucheta and Fabián Paz are the Argentines chosen this year for the Met Gala which is celebrated, like every year, on the first Monday of May in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New Yorkorganized by Vogue magazine and his alma mater, Anna Wintour.
This time, the theme has a romantic name: “Sleeping beauties, the awakening of fashion”and all the international designers and celebrities summoned for the most important fashion event of the year have given their all to dazzle on the most influential red carpet in the industry.
The Pucheta-Paz duo was summoned by the E! channel Entertainment to be part of the prelude to the transmission with a fashion filminspired by the slogan of this 2024.
And so it was that the designers called the supermodel Iman Kaumann to be your muse, directed by renowned photographer Gabriel Rocca, who supervised a team of more than 20 people at Arenas Studio, where the video was made. Andrés Pastor provided his magic as a stylist, Sergio Lamensa took care of the hair and Vero Momenti, the makeup.
Anacronesia is the title chosen by the Argentines for the video in which Kaumann takes a nude colored dress that looks like something out of a fairy tale.
“It is made of transparent rigid organza, a maxi corset that wraps from the face to the end of the legs, transforming into a large dress of more than 25 meters in different layers, completely armed with whales that revealed the structure of this garment that ends with maximalist sleeves, evoking a mermaid that wants to come out of the darkness,” says Gustavo Pucheta.
“The other design is a dress with an A-line silhouette as a metamorphosis of liberation and awakening of fashion in endless meters and meters of whales that assembled and structured a maximalist double bell skirt, more than 8 meters longwhich fits in the upper module in a corsetry of geometric cuts,” adds the designer, winner of the Martín Fierro Fashion Revelation 2023.
