Guided tours, local flavors and popular festivals for a weekend getaway

The first weekend of 2024 will be experienced in the municipalities of the province of Buenos Aires with festivities gastronomic and productive, guided tours and sporting events.

Below, all the events that will take place in the different locations, ideal for a summer getaway.

Friday the 5th and Saturday the 6th, starting at 6 p.m., in Santa María de la Armonía, route 2 km 328.5. Entrance: contribution bonus.

It’s about a light show, sound and images that takes place in a natural setting that will bring together 150 young people from different parts of the country. Organized by the Argentine Cultural Foundation.

From Friday the 5th to Sunday the 7th, from noon, at the Gauchos del Sur Traditionalist Center, Av. 40 and Calle 57. Fee entry.

Creole grills, stalls, pilcheros, food trucks, Creole gastronomy, and the presentation of local, regional and national artists. Organized by the Municipality of General Alvarado and the local Gauchos del Sur Association.

Saturday the 6th, at 9 p.m., at the railroad property. Free entrance.

Singing, folk dances, district ballet, artisans, and entrepreneurs. In addition, a canteen run by local institutions. Organized by the Municipality of Leandro N. Alem.

Saturday 6th, at 9pm, at Balneario Los Pocitos. Tariff card, with prior reservationby contacting (2920) 321151.

It will begin in the afternoon with various recreational activities and at night at the SUM of the Development Commission, the traditional oyster paella will be tasted with the presentation of musical numbers.

They organize the Commission for the Promotion of the Spa and the Municipality of Patagones.

Every Tuesday in January, February and March, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Café del Balneario Alfonsina, Balcarce and la Costa. Free entrance.

Wednesdays and Saturdays, starting at 7 p.m., at the Playón del Pinar del Norte, Alameda 201 and Calle 303. Free entrance.

Choirs from different parts of the country will participate. In addition, on Fridays there will be concerts in the foundational forest. Organized by the Choral Encounters Society under the auspices of the Municipality of Villa Gesell.

Adventure race with two competitive 10k routes and a participatory 5k on dunes.

Sunday the 7th, at 09:30, on 313th Street and Playa (Kite Gesell). Fee registration (paid on the same day at the starting point from 8 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.).

Open water swimming competition with a circuit of three laps of 500 meters each. They organize CFC and SR, with the sponsorship of the Municipality of Villa Gesell.

Tour of the River Park that will cross the reserve area. In addition, at 5:00 p.m., we will visit Laguna La Saladita, which will depart from Av. Miter 2800, Sarandí. Organized by the Tourism Directorate of the Municipality of Avellaneda.
