There are many house museums of artists, athletes and all kinds of celebrities in the world. But a historic place that also allows visitors to live a unique gastronomic experience is only possible in “the House of D10S” of the La Paternal neighborhoodIn Buenos Aires city.
The formal name of the excursion is “Visit to the House of Diego Armando Maradona with Argentine barbecue“, a tourist combo that attracts both foreigners and fans of our country to come to one of the places that were key in the life of the star and that are linked to his first economic achievements of his career.
In this way, history, soccer and traditional flavors merge in this experience that tours the soccer player’s home located at 2257 Lascano Street in La Paternal, where Diego lived with his family between 1978 and 1980.
That you can see
This proposal from Civitatis – a multinational online distribution company of guided tours, excursions and activities in Spanish in more than 160 countries – was added to its platform, offering an experience that begins at 7 p.m. in the Diez house-museum, just a few meters from the Diego Armando Maradona stadium of Argentinos Juniors.
“The first thing you see on the outside are two replicas of the Fiat 125 and Ford Taunus Coupé cars, on board of which the player walked around the neighborhood,” they explain from Civitatis.
And once inside the house, visitors can tour the living room, kitchen and the footballer’s bedroom, as well as the sanctuary where fans leave donations and souvenirs in his honor.
Precisely, in the kitchen you can see a black and white photo in which Diego and the family are sitting at that same table.
The guided tour ends on the terrace, with an element that becomes the protagonist of the culinary part of the tour: the original grill where Maradona cooked for his family and loved ones.
In this very special place, “an Argentine meat sandwich” is offered, which can be bondiola or the traditional choripán served with criolla sauce.
