The documentary film Christians which highlights the persecution carried out against the followers of Christ in many parts of the world is competing for 6 awards from the Spanish Film Academy that will be presented next Saturday at the 38th Goya Awards gala.
The six awards it aspires to are Best Film, Best New Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Editing and Best Documentary Film.
Filmed over almost a decade, the almost hour and a half long film portrays the sufferings of different Christian communities in some of the countries where there is the greatest violation of the fundamental right to religious freedom, such as Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, China, Pakistan, India, Nigeria, Palestine and Israel.
