In this sense, the doctor who has coordinated the GEMELLI team, Sergio Alfieri, requested the “help of all” on Saturday afternoon to avoid “visits and meetings” and thus accelerate his recovery.
In the residence of Santa Marta, the Pontiff has at his disposal, before any emergency, an active Vatican medical team 24 hours. In addition, during the day he performs respiratory and motor physiotherapy exercises and continues with pharmacological therapy.
