And Jesus himself highlights the importance of friendship. The Gospel says: “There is no greater love than to give one’s life for one’s friends.”
Following the model of Jesus, and seeking to imitate his heart, many saints throughout history have turned their gaze and their words to this great treasure that is friendship.
Today we share with you eight phrases from saints that will serve to reflect, pray, thank you for friendship and honor your friends.
1. “Whoever loves someone with the love of friendship, wants the good for the person he loves as he wants it for himself.” Saint Thomas of Aquino.
