For years, Luisa Lomelí thought he had found a path to peace in the so -called “new era”. However, he entered a universe of practices that combined energies and symbols, to the point that, as he confesses, he came to “consecrate Satan” to the families who came in search of their help.
In an interview with ACI Prensa, he says that when he began in the occultism he was in a complicated time in his life. “I was looking for God, I sought to heal me. That’s why I got, being Catholic, to this. I was looking to heal me (…) I felt very bad, I was with many emotional problems and I was looking for help.”

His first approach was the Feng shui, A Chinese practice that claims to find positive and negative currents in houses or buildings. This, he confesses, gave him a feeling of balance. For a decade, Lomelí taught courses and recommended other ways: yoga, family constellations, reikiPranic Healing, Reading of Letters, Numerology, Angelology.

“I didn’t know it was something bad, because I healed: I healed houses, hea Fengshui Or making a healing was consecrating them to Satan, ”he said.
Although Luisa comments that she felt relief at first, her life soon became a disturbing. “I never thought that instead of healing I would give me more and more problems,” he lamented.
What is the new era?
The document Jesus Christ, bearer of the water of life. A Christian reflection on the new eraprepared in 2003 by the Pontifical Council for Culture and the Pontifical Council for the Interreligious Dialogue of the Vatican – currently Dicascle for Culture and Education and Dicastery for the Interreligious Dialogue, respectively – offers a reflection on these practices.
The document indicates that some of them seek to dominate “the forces of nature and seek to communicate with other worlds to discover the destiny of individuals, to help them tune in with the appropriate frequency and get the most out of themselves and their circumstances.”
“In most cases, it is completely fatalistic,” warns the Vatican’s text.
According to a 2025 study of the Pew Research Center On the religious traditions of 35 countries, in the Latin American countries consulted more than half of the population considers that spells, curses and other magical practices influence their lives.
Regarding the consultation of seers or the use of horoscopes, Peru tops the list with 16% of people who claim to have resorted to them, followed by Argentina and Chile, with 14% each; and Mexico, with 12%.
Way to conversion
After years immersed in the occult, Luisa began to feel bad: “I had a year that talked my whole body and made me voodoo,” which prevented him from sleeping.
“Very worried, I went for help. Then I went with sorcerers, and shamans. I went with everyone and nobody took this tingling and these attacks at night,” he said.
“I didn’t know what was happening to me. I knew it was something spiritual (…) but I didn’t know where it came from or why.
An acquaintance gave him what he called a “spiritual recipe”: to go to Mass, confess, commune and listen to the Gospel in Latin, but warned him that he should go “with faith, asking God and God will help you.”
Thus he arrived at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Mexico City, where, barely cross the door, he asked: “My God, please free me.” Then he felt that “the Holy Spirit was waiting for me and it was a liberation, an impressive healing.”
“I felt hot, I felt a peace and cried and cried,” he recalls. “The tingling stopped totally, I felt new,” so much that he stayed five more hours in the temple.
Although the attacks returned days later, he says that “thanks to the Holy Rosary, I went ahead.” Luisa recalled that she prayed about seven times a day, attended a daily mass and spent long time before the Blessed Sacrament, repeating: “‘Sáname Lord, Sáname Lord, Sáname Lord’, and I healed for the glory of God.”
The warning about occult practices: “Don’t get out of there”
Their message for those who are attracted to these practices or believe they are innocent such as “Fengshuihe reikiyoga, reading letters, all this of the ‘new era’, is clear: “Do not get out of there, there is not.”
He assures that they are “doors that open Satan, and when you open that door, nothing else enters your life, enter the life of your children because it is a demon that circulates throughout your house.”
He currently lives in Medjugorje (Bosnia and Herzegovina), from where he directs a YouTube channel. Every day he broadcasts live the prayer of the Holy Rosary at 5:00 am (9: 00 pm of Mexico).
Luisa affirms that in Medjugorje she experiences a deep peace and tranquility, and is convinced that it was the Virgin who invited her to live there and to serve, thus giving her life to the service of God.
In September 2024, the Vatican, with the approval of Pope Francis, officially authorized public cult and medjugorje pilgrimages, recognizing his spiritual fruits – such as conversions, vocations and return to the sacraments – but without declaring authentic the alleged Marian appearances.
