This Monday the Government ordered a new fee schedule to enter the National Parks of the country. He did it through Resolution 228/2024 published in the latest edition of Official Gazettewhere the prices that will go into effect on November 4as well as new promotions and categories, and a free pass for Malvinas ex-combatants.
First of all, the National Parks Administration annulled the resolution that had marked the last increase as of April 26 of this year for the Nahuel Huapi, Los Alerces, Los Arrayanes, Lanín, Talampaya, Sierra de las Quijadas National Parks , El Palmar, Lago Puelo, Los Glaciares, Iguazú and Tierra del Fuego.
Then, a bonus of 50% of the value of the “Right of Access” for the second day of visit. The benefit must be used on the cover where the right of access is acquired within 72 hours after the first entry, and will be granted in all types of sales, except in the Tierra del Fuego National Park, where it will be used for the tickets purchased. on-line.
They also arranged three- and seven-day “Flexipass” promotional rates (of between $14,000 and $30,000; and $24,500 and $52,500, respectively) to be used within six months of acquisition, consecutively or alternately and within the same Protected Area, and the value of the “Annual Pass” with unlimited access to all National Parks and Protected Areas for a period of twelve months from its acquisition and a cost of $225,000.
The regulations, in parallel, incorporated the “Students” categorydue to “the large segment of young and student tourism that demands nature tourism, extending its reach to all student visitors regardless of their place of residence and educational level.”
Besides, added “the Malvinas War Veterans” to the “exempt” categoryin order to pay homage and honor the former combatants of the conflict over the Malvinas, South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands.”
On the other hand, as a result of the “growth of nature tourism in Los Glaciares National Park, in activities such as trekking, hiking and climbing, it is imperative to organize access to the different trails” and therefore the El Chaltén Cover will be opened , “for the purposes of managing access rights and visitor attention.”
Here, one by one, how the rate looks with the increase for Argentine residents:
- Iguazú National Park (Misiones): $15,000
- Los Glaciares National Park (Santa Cruz): $15,000.
- Los Glaciares National Park – Cover El Chaltén (Santa Cruz): $15,000.
- Tierra del Fuego National Park: $12,000.
- Nahuel Huapi National Park (Río Negro and Neuquén): $7,000.
- Los Arrayanes National Park (Neuquén): $7,000.
- Los Alerces National Park (Chubut): $7,000.
- Lanín National Park (Neuquén): $7,000.
- Lago Puelo National Park (Chubut): $7,000.
- El Palmar National Park (Entre Ríos): $7,000.
- Talampaya National Park (La Rioja): $7,000.
- Sierra de las Quijadas National Park (San Luis): $7,000. (This park usually charges admission, but at the moment entry is free because ticket collection is not in operation, reports the official website)
As clarified in the annex to the Resolution, “the ‘National’ category corresponds to Argentine citizens regardless of their place of residence and permanent residents in the Argentine Republic, from 6 years of age.”
Furthermore, among those exempt, in addition to ex-combatants, are retirees and pensioners, children under 6 years of age, members of educational visits, people with disabilities along with a companion, local residents, protocol visits, agents of the National Parks Administration, and guides and coordinators.
