Federal Government of the United States eliminates transgender language from websites

Many federal government agencies have changed or eliminated transgender language on their websites to comply with the executive order of President Donald Trump about gender ideology.

Trump issued the order “Defend women from the extremism of gender ideology and restore biological truth in the federal government”On his first day in office. The order specified: “It is the United States policy to recognize two sexes, male and female. These sexes are not modifiable and are based on a fundamental and incontrovertible reality. ”

Since the order was issued, several federal agencies have modified their websites. Below are some of the changes in the messages of the websites since Trump assumed the position.

The United States Department of State

A website of the United States Department that offers travel notices changes the list of “LGBTQ+” travel information to “LGB travel information”.

The United States Department of State also eliminated the “X” gender marker in all consular forms, making possible only select “male” or “female.”

The change of the website coincides with a Trump administration directive not to process more passport requests sent using the “X” option.

The Federal Prison Office

The Federal Prison Office eliminated its “Transgender Delincuentes Manual”, which explained how the office provided “gender statement services to transgender people.”

A search on its website now alerts users: “This content is not temporarily available since we implement the executive order on ‘defending women from the extremism of gender ideology and restoring biological truth in the federal government'”.
